Rediscover Your Senses

This fifteen minute guided meditation exercise will help you reconnect with all of your senses.

Preparation

Before you begin, you will need to find a quiet, dimly lit, comfortable space where you will not be disturbed for the next fifteen minutes. You will also need to prepare a few items:

Something Fragrant

This might be a fresh aromatic herb, flower, a perfume, or an essential oil. It must be in a sealed bag or container that you can safely open with your eyes closed. Wash your hands if you have residual scent lingering after handling the item.

Dry & Juicy

A piece of fruit with an edible dry exterior skin or membrane, and juicy interior. Blueberries, grapes or peeled segments of citrus fruit are all suitable for this exercise.

Let’s Begin

  • Place the container with the fragrance and the fruit in easy reach
  • Set your phone and any other distractions to “do not disturb”
  • Sit comfortably and play the audio track
